The self-priming capability means it can draw water from a tank or container within 1.2m without manual priming, and the built-in check valve with overpressure protection shuts the pump off automatically when pressure builds.
The run-dry capability protects the pump if the water supply runs out mid-use, and the manual on/off switch keeps operation simple. No assembly is required out of the box.
