The deep cup face is the key to the popping action. Twitching the rod tip forces the cupped face to catch water, throwing up a bow wake and a satisfying bloop that mimics a struggling baitfish or surface prey. Keep the twitches short and rhythmic, vary the pause length, and let the lure sit still for a beat — that's often when aggressive predators commit.
Three internal ball bearings rattle loudly as the lure moves, creating underwater noise that draws fish in from further away than the surface disturbance alone. In murky water or low light, that noise can be the difference between a blank and a bust-up session.
The transparent body catches and reflects light across the water column, giving the lure a flash and glow that adds extra attraction. At 10 grams and 72mm, it's a practical size for light to medium spin tackle — easy to cast on 2–4kg gear and well suited to estuary mouths, rocky headlands and freshwater impoundments.
