Swimerz Bite Leader Wire is built from 7 individual strands twisted together, giving it far more flexibility than solid single-strand wire. You can bend it, coil it and work with it without the kinks and springiness that make single-strand wire frustrating to use at the boat or on the beach. The nylon coating adds durability and helps protect against corrosion in saltwater conditions.
At 50lb breaking strain, this spool suits a wide range of inshore and offshore applications — from light boat fishing for Spanish mackerel through to heavier beach and reef setups. Use it to tie bait leaders, snell hooks directly to wire, or as a short trace above metal jigs and poppers where bite-offs are a regular problem.
