The Simplecom CH255 gives you three USB-A connections from a single USB-C plug — one SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port running at up to 5Gbps for fast file transfers, and two USB 2.0 ports at up to 480Mbps for everyday peripherals like a mouse, keyboard or USB drive.
The built-in card reader handles SD and MicroSD formats — including SDHC, SDXC, MicroSDHC and MicroSDXC — making it a practical companion for photographers, videographers or anyone pulling footage off a camera in the field. Transfer speeds reach up to 480Mbps via the card reader. Note that the SD and MicroSD slots cannot be used simultaneously.
At just 38g with a 10cm integrated cable, it won't weigh down your kit or create a mess of dongles. The aluminium housing keeps it tough enough for daily packing and unpacking, and plug-and-play compatibility with Windows, Mac OS and Chrome OS means it works without fuss. Worth noting: avoid connecting two or more high-power USB devices at once (such as external hard drives), and this hub is not designed for charging tablets or as a stand-alone USB charger.
