The 180gsm high-density polyethylene construction with double PE coating is waterproof and mildew-resistant, and the UV-resistance means it holds up through extended outdoor exposure without fading or degrading. It handles temperature extremes from -20°C to 70°C, so it is just as useful on a cold alpine trip as it is in a hot Queensland summer.
The silver surface reflects heat and the black underside absorbs it, giving you a bit of flexibility depending on how and where you rig it. Reinforced edges and corners mean it holds under tension without tearing, and aluminium-reinforced eyelets at 0.9m intervals give you plenty of anchor points for secure tie-downs in windy conditions.
