The 0.30mm wrapped latex rubber is thin enough to wrap neatly around almost any bait without adding visible bulk that might put fish off. It stretches to accommodate the shape of the bait, then holds firm through the full force of a long cast and keeps everything secured even when you're getting bumped without a hookup. It works with pilchards, prawns, squid strips, white bait and soft plastics that need a bit of help staying on a jig head.
