Tying reliable assist hooks starts with having the right line — and hollow braid can feel floppy and frustrating to work with when you're trying to create tight, consistent rigs. Swimerz Solid Core Assist Line solves that by combining a 16-strand HMWPE braid over a dyneema inner core, giving you just enough stiffness to make rig construction clean and repeatable.
At 100kg breaking strain and 1.6mm diameter, this is built for serious workloads — jigging for kingfish, amberjack, yellowfin tuna and other large pelagic species that put real pressure on every component. The HMWPE fibre construction keeps weight minimal while delivering the tensile strength you'd expect from quality Japanese-style assist hook materials.
The inner white PE core can be pulled free if you need to splice, or left in place to add structure to a section of your rig between the loop and hook. This flexibility lets you customise each rig to suit specific jig weights, hook sizes and target species without switching to a different material.
Five metres per pack gives you a practical working length for tying multiple hooks over a session, and the red colour makes it easy to identify in your rigging kit.
