Getting bait fish, shrimp or crayfish by hand is slow work without the right net. A good cast net changes the equation — spread it wide, let it sink fast, and you're covering far more water with each throw than any hand line or trap alone.

This 480cm hand cast net uses a frisbee-style throw that helps the net open up quickly and land with an even spread. The steel sinkers on the weighted bottom pull it down fast before your target can scatter, and the fine nylon mesh holds onto smaller catches like shrimp and crayfish that would slip through a coarser weave.

At 480cm diameter it's the bigger end of the range — well suited to open flats, jetties and river bends where you want to cover ground. The nylon mesh construction handles repeated use in both fresh and saltwater without giving up, and the whole net folds down small enough to stash in a bag for the walk to the water.
