The Finesse Excaliber Lipless Crankbait in Burnt Gold is designed for exactly these scenarios — a sinking vibe that covers the water column and triggers bites through both noise and movement.
The internal ball bearings rattle on the cast and throughout the retrieve, giving fish something to zero in on even in low-visibility conditions or murky water. The negative floatation means the lure sinks on the pause, so you can control depth precisely — hold it high in the column on a fast retrieve or let it drop deeper on a slow one.
For vegetation fishing, it really earns its keep. Retrieve it at a pace that keeps it just ticking over the tops of the grass, then use a sharp rod pop when it snags — that triggered reaction is often what gets the bite. For deeper water, the yo-yo technique (lift and drop, lift and drop) works particularly well when fish are sitting lethargic on the bottom.
