The porous construction lets air and water pass through rather than pool on top, which matters when you're dealing with morning dew, light rain or damp pitches. The non-slip surface keeps the mat from shifting around, and the UV treatment along with mould and mildew resistance mean it handles repeated outdoor use without degrading quickly.
