This 8KW portable diesel air heater is built for exactly that situation, delivering cabin-warming heat quickly and efficiently without relying on the engine or a powered campsite.
The heater reaches operating temperature in around five to ten minutes and runs at over 90% efficiency according to supplier specs, burning between 0.04 and 0.1 gallons of diesel per hour. The 5-litre tank supports overnight heating sessions without needing a top-up, which is useful when you're parked up in a remote location or a quiet truck stop.
Control is handled three ways — via the Bluetooth app (with a range of up to 30 metres), the included handheld remote, or the onboard LCD screen. You can set timers, adjust temperature and preheat the cabin before you're even out of your sleeping bag. The app-based control is particularly handy for early morning warm-ups in cold weather.
